ITALICUS
I worked with the Italian drinks aperitivo brand Italicus on ‘The Art of Italicus’ Creative talent - Cities reimagined, in collaboration with Monkier Culture. A competition Italicus launches each year to artists. I was asked to interpret the brief as inspiration to artists who would apply.
I was given a list of cities to reimagine and reinterpret, a way of exploring digital tourism and expressing how the artist sees the city, while capturing the essence of the Italicus brand. I chose to reinterpret Barcelona as I have a strong personal connection to the city. My aim for the piece was to celebrate the cities personality and landscape while adding aspects of my own personal experience, capturing the vibrancy of the people, while also reflecting the rich cultural history of the brand and the Italian landscape.
